Take him and cut him out in little stars,

[FYI- Bengal cats are very human. They get lonely very quickly and very jealous if ceasing to be the center of attention. So if you are out a lot or have a baby, another breed of cat maybe better for you.]

Haven’t read Johann Hari’s latest book Stolen Focus but sounds as brilliantly readable and researched and relevant as his last about depression and hope, Lost Connections

The Booksellers

The world renowned NY Antiquarian Book Fair is back finally after Covid. Not just for dinosaurs, equally book worm reptilians and even hip humanoids beyond! If by chance you get bored- then please, really: occupy another planet.

In memoriam- Clare Salaman whose playing of magical instruments has featured on some major movie soundtracks. Let alone the real world.

Swore never to link to another ‘talk show’ as reality always lets you down…but..

Quite happy in my yurt making friends with the wolverines rather than some over-priced rental sucking money down the drain. The rich make it all tax deductible. **** into honey. Surely there’s room for The ‘Yurt’ Bachelor and Marrying Millions (one or two males do indeed seem to live ‘yurtly’.) Sides of America so foreign to me in my sub-titled yurt until this winter when the bear in me got curious. Can’t say I’ll return maybe that’s where ….Will defiantly be watching the very real, very heartbroken, very special JoJo in The Bachelorette. Where are these creatures in my life?

Don’t know how the BBC’s 2009 Paradox escaped me. Maybe ‘cause was in my own. Two eps in not switching and checked it out. Wow: Stephen King was 2020 binging (on Hulu) as well in spite of mostly negative reviews! “The show I've had the most pure fun with this summer.” Now there’s a critic! Something, indeed, very intriguing. Loads of great episode parts for actors and their showreel. Where am I going and what will I find

Philip K. Dick’s The Adjustment Bureau (for all those who think they’ve escaped ‘yurt’ surveillance). There is hope! If you believe, not just clickin’ those ruby red rhinestone shoes dreamin’ of Kansas.

Ben Rawlence's The Treeline

Arctic warming is x3 faster than rest of world.

1/3 of all trees on the planet live in the Arctic’s Boreal forest.

Beavers unwittingly hasten global warning. ………………………….END TRANSMISSION.

Yet another un-subtitled English language Pablo Larrain film. Kristen Stewart’s Princess Diana deservedly Oscar nominated. Some may find Spencer possibly irritatingly. Others for the very same reason, eloquent, surreal, melancholic. So often it’s watching exquisite decay. The Royal Sandringham kitchen of opulent freshness days after the triumph of labor and duty. The film a paean and ballet of love, care, neglect.  When a young ballerina finally appears spectrally to Diana it’s the only let down of the movie. We were already dancing with her! Our heart already stolen. Larrain’s vision, pace, choreography is somewhat lost on anything but a cinema screen. The mundanities of Visconti. Nonetheless, we’re left with bittersweet tears you’ll not shed on today’s social media let alone cinema.

Nobody lives up there.

[PS-FU producers!] CASSIE the lame deer frequented me often. Both, humble **** beginnings. The other day, learnt of her passing. She had the courage to believe that Christmas sleigh was hers. Cassie almost flew with a Princess. For real.

So this Valentine’s, is for all the Cassies big and small, pale and vibrant, brittle and resilient! Little and a lot.

But deer can’t see red, hence the b/w archival. Alas the amazing Charlotte will be lost on them. [wait a minute, asks a little voice of logic, if…]

And that’s all we have time for tonight, creatures. Stay away from traffic lights and deer crossings. And if they ask romantically, just say yes. Color fades anyway.
