Well, I don't have a career full-stop to ruin either. If I had a 'career' then I wouldn't have a career. See how hard it is, Anne Hathaway, for an existentialist to get a date in America! When you're opening line is "How's Sisyphus doin?" they immediately think 'frat guy'. Who cares, does he have a trust fund? (kinda re-imagining of a Robin Williams joke involving unmentionables).
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

and Some Came Running (u have no place with the other sad fff's at the watering hole if u haven't seen that. I once wrote that if Violet in Damsels in Distress will see that movie she will never be asame again.)
These last ain’t iconic. But for me they are very quietly.
Certain People (Katinkas kalas-Levan Akin)- a ‘Chekhovian’ film that very few if any recognized or saw at Tribeca Film Fest. And a film I would never probably have seen (and I’m sure you haven’t). I deserted all the Tribeca ‘hoop-la’ long ago, but a film like this made it all worth while. Just as a 'reality' check: i tink it was the last of 4 (maybe 3) media screenings starting at 4pm.! No 'screeners'. (and no food or alcohol;..!) I'm not agin that but...disclosure is ....but in this case it was!
