What totally fascinated me was when my Mum contemplated and agreed that maybe Australia should have its own dominion from The Crown- (the final constitutional ties were cut in 1986 but Australia is still part of the Commonwealth. A public referendum held in 1999 on becoming a republic failed for many reasons.)
