One cat, one life…

Kitty: They won't laugh at us will they?
Andrew: We can always upload another version, it isn't like you're Jay-Z! And well: the dogs can just go and stick a bone yup their….!
Kitty: it is just a first rehearsal..
Andrew: They call it a teaser. But when you're famous you can…you can upload your 3year old self singing Happy Birthday and they are..
Kitty: [Kitty looks angry}
Andrew: You know what I mean, Kit.
Kitty: Woof Balls guy (still can't remember his name) went 1 million viral and all he did was woof as a 'pup'! Go figure?!
Andrew: Those who appreciate the inner cat will savior, those who don't, will bite pizza.
Kitty: Meow!

Andrew: Not happy about not hearing your great lyrics Kit. First time I've recorded with this digital piano. Need to put the camera phone in the shoe further away.
Kitty: Why can't you be like everyone else and just get a proper mic?
Andrew: Because you are not just an ordinary cat!
Kitty: Cat that! Maybe put the phone in a hat!
Andrew: Good point, Kit….
I'll post this and then replace it. It'll be like a Kitty collector's item. Anycat, how many rock/pop singers do you know where you can actual hear all the lyrics?
Kitty: Meow!

Wanted, for some strange reason, to give a shout out to the great Petula Clark, who indeed is very still with us. (Not much use shouting out after one's dead and gone…;). Guess I'm thinking of Goodbye Mr Chips and gettin' teary eyed for all the commencement graduates who won't experience that once in a lifetime…Not only did Ms. Clark get to sing Feed the Birds in London's West End Mary Poppins, she also broke everyone's hearts when she 'died' off stage in the film Goodbye Mr Chips. Credit due, of course, to the late great Mr. Peter O'Toole whose stoic receipt of that news utterly breaks our heart. And, of course, Anthony Newley loved Ms. Clark. We must always be ourselves. Our always better selves. And maybe do some good, some day.

There's some truly beautiful Vassar College 2020 commencement stuff up on the 'net'. An irony of life that this morning was utterly perfect commencement weather (unlike last year when everyone was melting like ice-creams!). I'd agree with everything Jason Blum said! Most importantly, and all jokes aside, that being true to oneself, true to one's vision is the greatest gift one could give. Not just to oneself but for all others. That you don't need to lie to change things or indeed to achieve. Ibsen's Peer Gynt is totally about that struggle. Jean-Paul Sartre wrote, "to be at all you must be something in particular." And we all go through it! No matter how brilliant and/or confident is one. The trolls will always try to beat one down. Take away that special belief. Life is indeed a bitch. I walked though the woods this morning. Totally startled a female deer. 'Where the 'f' did you come from' she said? 'It's Sunday morning' for 'deer's sake'! I nodded my head (by now I believe indeed I speak 'deer'). Animals know when you mean harm. I chatted to a goose. Encouraged further feather cleaning. Cajoling her to be in my Beckett movie. All things possible.

Vassar ALANA: where is your hope and what is your moral grounding..you have to know what anchors you before you make any substantive change.
