I like collecting Private View invites when they grab my imagination. You know what REALLY pissed me off (that's UK for US gunslinger I think) is when walking back home though the Chelsea art district: I saw the beautifully presented color fold out brochure for Jon Schueler's Women in the Sky oils from the 1960s that someone had thrown in the trash from that evening preview. I guess one could argue hmmm ...but I swore to the strangers behind me (not their doing) how ffing dare you! Jon who? Well hardly unknown to those in. Great gallerist rep. But he artistically eloped to paint Scotland and no-one was interested no-more. No offense to Scotland but thereby hangs a tale....
