There's a film been gnawing away at my heart ever having seen it:
A lot of Normans in this city (both sexes). Many mean very well. They aren't shysters. The shyster Normans are the ones that get further and further up that ladder destroying it rung by rung. Norman was a rare bird. He never really wanted to fly that close to the sun. It becomes a drug. Surely better than all the unnecessary medication dished out every year to Americans. Director Joseph Cedar should be in a list of top 10 directors (whatever that means!). His films tell a truth that never wants telling (and I am sure many would simply wish for him to shut up.) He explores that truth with a humor and insight still very rare in movie making or indeed the theater.
I thank the stars that I was never Norman. But I too want to hold his hand.
And I totally know what it is like deciding to eat those peanuts.
