BUT, Let a kitten in your life and your serenity is through,
she'll redecorate your home, from the cellar to the dome,
and then go on to the enthralling fun of overhauling you...
Let a kitten in your life, and you're up against a wall,
make a plan and you will find,
that she has something else in mind,
and so rather than do either you do something else
that neither likes at all You want to talk of Keats and Milton,
she only wants to talk of love,
You're a deft paw on the internet Ms. Kitty Litter

You accuse me of indifference (Elisabeth de Valois, Don Carlos-Verdi)- Met Opera archive streaming until 6.30pm April 3.
Whatever 'God' you believe in (and even comedian Ricky Gervais believes in 'something' otherwise how could he ever arise in the morning and make jokes! - one must have belief. Even Nietzsche must have had some belief otherwise how could he ever write: there was none;)
I'm sure there are folk around the world who are thinking: serves them right as all the rich have their playgrounds vanish like an earthquake beneath them. I'm back on my 'hobby-horse' about artisans: those uber-rich 'play-folk' inadvertently sponsor so many artisans. Some are knowingly grateful, many inevitably are never. Both sides now. Whether you sew sequins on costumes when you know you could be Versace. Whether you serve wine all the while thinking why don't I just throw this in this mother's face!- knowing you could be the next château. Or whether you finally had that booking, as a speaker, a musician, a neglected teacher. Vanished! Crudel! This time is a leveling. Time for reflection.
Opera was one of my 'things'. It seems so useless to those who know nothing of it. And, you are right in the sense that, isn't everything in life kinda useless? We are this tiny insignificant planet in this vast great universe. I think NASA is the C21's Nietzsche! We must believe we are a part of a greater whole. Otherwise, what is the bloody point of anything!

So: Tabatha’s home for famous, disgruntled operatic cats and dogs!
Great doc on Casa Verdi by Anna Franceschini- I feel like I saw this 20years ago-is this the same doc? Credit where credit should be due!
t.b. …
If you missed the Met Opera ‘stream’, one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching arias of the operatic repertoire. Verdi was really a rapper for the people. Why else would ordinary people flock to his operas! Of course, Elisabeth did harbor affection. Mucho. A ship adrift in a safe harbor….
Don Carlos: an extraordinary opera. Funny. I had, what one would call an Italian lunch at 3pm today. Fell asleep and never got to plant my little trees. Manana! Awoke at 7.30 and thought it was morning! Strange but then the weather said cloudy. Made some coffee. An omelet. Then realized….bizarre…true…
So: Voila! Don Carlos! A superb production (Nicholas Hytner- doesn't he wish he'd said yes (nowadays_ to all that Hollywood crap he was offered after…) :) !
I'm not favoring The Met Opera in any way, btw, only, there are only so many hours in the day! And I like where my days are going! Some Royal Opera House, Wien Staats…mucho, much to come. But I won't write about what I can't whisker. Good rule of paw, n'est pas?! Good thing my client cat doesn't snore! They cancelled her Kitty tours…
that cat was so resourceful…
Next morning:
Some cats drag in a mouse or a bird. Other cats, well, Ms.Kitty’s the only one I know, bring music to the foot of one’s bed!
Webinars are the way to go! Very inspiring online live-streaming panel discussion this morning (Friday) with interior designer Barrie Benson, gallerist Chandra Johnson and Schumacher Creative Director Dara Caponigro. Schumacher is the oldest American design company of its kind since 1889. May the 'horse' be with you! Sad that Donghia was forced to close its doors. They even gave you a complementary drink.
Does that cat ever sleep! (well I know she does, but): Ms.Kitty was so inspired by powerful felines this morning that she's started designing wallpaper: La Chat! Not quite sure cat-inspired Cy Twombly is quite what the people want but belief is everything.
1.47pm EST: You will not believe me Mrs. Chandra (in a million years!) but I just read your interview in Galerie Magazine and what do I read- Cy Twombly drawing. I know I had never read this! Nor did Kitty! Something weird and wonderful is happening.
They'll never believe me, they'll never believe me,
Swear to DOG!
