KITTY and ANDREW’s Saturday Night Double Bill:

Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry

Banel & Adama

The Cannes Film Festival fast approaching- all those films only you and I some many stray creatures ever will watch. But as Shakespeare once said to Anne Hathaway, “better thou runt ‘o’ litter than none spake its name”. The Bard always a visceral imagination! And a loving relationship so factually revealed, Germaine Greer right again ahead time!!

We cut out all the John Oliver White House Correspondents’ Dinner jokes for tonight. Money talks doesn’t it! Hey, it’s only a little Airstream Justice Clarence but a lot of kittens now very elated. As opposed the alternative John: a phalanx of cute mittens calling you “Papa’ on the red carpet. Right pro-choice. What are we doing? Au…going to watch a true subtitled movie on Mubi rather than HBO. Credit, though, they do keep foreign voice-over actors employed. Oops: that’s Netflix isn’t it. Reading as well as watching your movie can be a pain but then you want as many folk as possible to see it. Soon, everyone will either be feline or canine. Just the way future life! Ming of Harlem the new Pope sure will bless. Noblige.

Said this many times, but the saddest thing about Last Week Tonight is that it’ll never and hasn’t ever run out of material since 2013. When NYT photographer Doug Mills won last night for his Biden/Lincoln low-shot pic one was reminded that a photographer is never a journalist. You don’t take/report a photo as you would a news hunter/gatherer. You imagine what an image may say to current and future generations in a second. Or rather what speaks to your eyes then and now. Many greats Eamon McCabe etc have spoken of how you simply can’t be a humanitarian in a war zone. [actually, if you’re the ‘snapper’ who spoke many years ago jokingly or for real his next project being the soles of human shoes then, thinking of you, probably Don McCullin:)!] And it isn’t that hard to take some great looking pics in exotic and frightful situations. What’s hard is to see Guernica there/then and start snapping. Painting with a camera. Staying focused in one’s brain. The mission. My earliest memories was seeing/reading about Susan Meiselas and her El Salvador 1979-83 photos.

Spoke, maybe 8 years ago, to a leading Brit photo gallerist at AIPAD, he bemoaned the lack of street photography at that prestigious Fair where once blossomed…

Many of the greatest photos over the decades, let’s be honest, may you well think: I could have taken that. But would you have had the eyes to see? Not dissing Instagram et al, only, so often detail in the context and context in the detail blurring- nothing’s interesting. I’ve writ this before: Helen Levitt, Vivian Maier see life choreography and life in the still frame body. You could see/sense the spluttering, ejaculating neon signs did Tarentino in Once Upon in Hollywood. Ruscha, Joel Meyerowitz, Stephen Shore, William Eggleston et al

Relative unknown Alain Jacquet (1939–2008).

Like meditation: you will hear your mind and the world around if you do. That ‘high’ can go so ever quickly: those moments, though, so real.

It’s become one interesting world, though not necessarily one happy artistic for those seeing/feeling/healing/non-judgemental eyes.

This is fun, informative!, provocative. Yeah! No-one gets near ‘Oz’ following the norm just makin’ cup-cakes. Nothing wrong with ….only….

“Something becomes real – to those who are elsewhere following it as ‘news’ – by being photographed.  But a catastrophe that is experienced will often seem eerily like its representation.”- Regarding the Pain of Others [Susan Sontag]

Thinking of selling my Harriet Logan photos [u know how to contact me;)]. Not the Unveiled but something perhaps more devastatingly poignant and beautiful. Ought be owned by parents. Seen by children. Interrogated by children. Us all forever…

childs drawings-kabul" 2001. Ed. 1/10 Color digital print – 25″ x 19″-Inside one of the old palaces, a child has drawn images of war on a wall.

Starting to sound like a Film Independent QVC channel auction! Whatever next? Lordy, lordy: should never have invoked the question!!

HACKS back! A Marvelous Mrs.Maisel parallel universe or WHAT…

We needs laugh more, connect more.

Know you’ve made it WHOAH Carol Burnett guest stars! HACKS- Season 4. You know, Carol Burnett akin Angela Lansbury: you’re always still ALIVE!!! Until, finally wasn’t. Of course. Kinda unbelievably. Somebody hold me too close..Ms Burnett: I was in the living Broadway audience doesn’t feel like ‘cat years’.

I trace it all back to Aimee Lou…:)

Really, really, really don’t want to see WARFARE. Reality! When Critical Drinker praises to hilt, knows one one must. FYI: the only mother*critic yours truly is of jealous! What a great FFFFing title. He lives up to it! Owns it! Foreign movies not quite his thing. We don’t know: maybe he has an undisclosed secret ops website nomdeplume SOBER WAGNER. The late great Pope Francis liked Furtwängler/Wagner. So what’s not to like?

OH- there’s the last plane out of normality. Maybe see you soon in another dimension. Or maybe this time I’ll stay…
