even though the birch trees haven't put out any leaves yet

Ms. Kitty was very pleased that the BBC were catfully accurate! Ms. Litter was way ahead of the times and knew there was a very good reason for canceling her NYCat tours.

I must admit that cat does resemble General Patton!

I must admit that cat does resemble General Patton!

I am CAT! (Kitty's rather good impersonation of Kirk Douglas in u know..)

Assuming that New York Theater Workshop's Three Sisters with a fascinating cast that was to open in May is 'on hold'. Are they still allowed to rehearse?

However, The Wooster Group's quietly amazing avant-garde version is free streaming until April 13.

Who knew that Dame Vera Lynn was still alive at 103!

Was watchin' stray cats today (don't tell Kitty- she's a lit possessive x). Well- start (singularly) sit and listen when 'horse whisper'. They are understandably very frightened of strangers. The curious 'tabby' today, the 'grey' sus Persian yesterday…what can I offer …?

Every person ever involved in the making of theater will be engrossed by this half hour of interviews-the collaborators on One Man,Two Guvnors. I hadn't caught it on Broadway and seeing it on the Royal National Theatre's YouTube free site this week (sadly it is no longer there, they are only up for a week but more great things to come-now it's Jane Eyre) really kept me afloat this week. Thank you. I'm a tough crowd especially when it comes to comedy but this was so silly and so amazing.

It seems so so many cat years ago that I took a workshop with the even then! sought after director Nicholas Hytner. My ever strange existence that I had to depart at lunchtime to do an understudy rehearsal. Way too many people above way more talented than me to namedrop. Saved Maestro Hytner from scratching his head wondering what to do with me;)

These are terrible times.

Yet oftso strange that out of such things may grow beauty, a special sadness and a particular faith.

Look what Kitty found!

nedup! Dog to die for! Send me your paw print!

Andrew: Kitty! You’re sounding like Sharon Stone on a dating app:)

Kitty: A rolling stone gathers no moss.

Andrew: Where did u learn..

Kitty: You said u were pulling out moss from the lawn..so I

Andrew: U R a cat after mine own heart I…OK…song for u ‘bout fish and dragons..:)

There's a magnificent, moving Parsifal (Met Opera streaming until mid-afternoon Friday-thought I could 'cheat' the ibots by watching a 3 hour opera at 4pm but they got wise to me;) so you will be denied!

Wagner is a very acquired taste. Always, I think why am I still interested? Soon this will be boring. So very easily it can in the wrong paws. Wagner was so revolutionary in his doings. Couldn't it all be shorter, cut to the chase? Well, isn't that like asking playwright Eugene O'Neill 'cut to the chase'? Are all those words really necessary. Yes and then no/yes.

Productions such as François Girard's for The Met are not that expensive to actualize, relatively speaking. Ideas simple, striking, heartfelt, exquisite.

I'm optimistic about culture's post-Corona future. It's a wake-up call to lazy ideas, idol 'jobsworths', over-paid talent, and those organizations that have never been challenged to think as small fry. I've wrote this before, but Frankfurt Oper achieved a Met Opera presence world stage on their budget fraction. Yes, world class talent will always be in demand and justly should command a just price.

Now, when everyone in the sea and land and sky is out of a job hopefully folk are hunkering down, finally asking questions perhaps they have never ever asked before.

Safe paws, dreams and creatures from Andrew and Kitty.
