It will 'tear'...

Translation please. Hal? Hello? Get your act together we are 'live' !

What's goin' on? When you leave NYC so suddenly realize that niching matters anynomore! No dis-respect to Ming and Al 23 floors above. But really? What is goin' on? WHAT is everyone so quietly loudly afraid of?

The Whitney Biennale 2017 opening seemed like only a week ago. Where was I then..? Closing June 11. History. (no like before the big H.- like when did this e4 letters become an adjective let alone an adverb. I think I just swore in Latin. Mea culpea! (Joking). My other half stole a teeny weeny fairy from the altar. [share]- G knows why. She has to be stopped from becoming President. I mean…

It's the Tony's on Sunday. Who, what, where, who? No tautology on Broadway.

tbc…where was we....DEXADRINE Tony Award Winner 2020. Ooops...Always a bit ahead of myself spake my grand-daddy La tortoise. [sic] !

Let's cut to: Bruce Willis doing Schwarznegger 'Democrat' (or did I mean that in reverse...) highlky laced Stallone saving CIA laced killer whales off Sierra Leone (isn't that a tranquil tea...!) destined for ...hello: how far away from 'that' is the great Kafka Amerika? ?

{ as a P.S. I did appreciate that you boys took my advice from my London blog eons ago and made The Expendables sequel use the comedic talents of you guys. I know, no-one will admit to that but way too much of a co-incidence:) That's fine. Just make sure you find out where I am playing my little keyboard on an LA sidewalk- if it ever comes to that- and make the bills numerous and large;) }

Actually : I'd now like do discuss my new girl/boy friend Simon the Squid (the Amy Schumer you NEVER see....;) ! .. The tentacles are so so Hitchcock! Never recognised in their time....this TMI for the Tony's isn't Neil Patrick Crab;).........there is always the exit sign or the delete follicle...Mr Gideon..are you SERIOUS!

and ALL I started out with was a link to a musical called Hello Dolly!

What a difference a few keystrokes and seagulls make!

I haven't seen the show yet. You never sent me any tickets you…  ! :)

Bette Midler would never allow ANYTHING on that stage that didn't 'rock'. I don't expect to be disappointed. But HOW (I trust you..!) could you create an onstage experience that equates to that film? I am sure that they ALL asked that of Gene Kelly when he went ahead and made the movie. Musicals can often be deemed 'sentimental'. It is rare for most, though, not to be full of 'cutting-edge' sentiment. Many Jerry Herman tunes are sculpted out of a few notes of a major key. On their own they seem almost nothing. But when he adds the lyrics the songs ascend to heaven-as if the only notes left on earth.

Such is life. Such is joy. Such is saline. Such are the joys of being a lobster;)

[a reminder should have been that the new Tony's glam (past 2 years) would never have happened without the persistence and chutzpah of Vogue's Anna Wintour and Broadway designer William Ivy Long. Broadway talent more than just deserves Oscars/Golden Globes glam.] Seems so obvious. Talk to NASA: HIDDEN was such long long long before. The devil and the deep blue sea.....Such is...!

{ as a P.S. Haven't seen 2017 Tony Musical winner Dear Evan Hansen nor seen anything( !  You must remember that for decades I saw pretty much every opera, every piece of theater, ever slice of dance that mine eyes could. Not Evan Hansen, of course, but I did rather perversely think that one could make a musical out of a great un-sung Robin Williams film The World's Greatest Dad. Not sure that the truth of a somewhat arrogant opportunistic greedy but ultimately well-meaning and exasperated Dad would be allowed to end a Broadway show.  But- you could have a marvellous inverted Rosenkavalier style final curtain trio with the Dad, the dead son, and his friend as the Zombie movie plays in the background- and a Verdian chorus of fellow students and parents as the sorcerers of possession and purveyors of evil in a very Brechtian way slowly creep forward to the audience. I'd buy a ticket to watch that! }

[forgot to mention- yes I know I'm a nightmare for PR's adding (rarely subtracting) but never backdating and defying internet etiquette..yeah I know who now cares: what ever happened to…!

Young singers from the Met Opera give free summer recitals in NYC parks. Brooklyn Bridge Park is my fave June 14 (though Clove Lakes Staten Island look idyllic). If you wish really hard you may just sqint Simon the Squid showing his dancing skills on water tension in the far off background, ships, tankers lolling by. 'd never dream of taking center stage playing singing dancing directing conducting with a spare tentacle or two for a drink and a fag;) I shudder to think what is done with the remaining one! :)

Alas, that Met gig might coincide with Simon going down on free seafood buffet. Hard choices. Hard times. Don't let smoke blow up your, …: ...you know! Smoking is bad for children and potentially lethal for adults. (Other things, will take their course). You may after 50 years be on the cusp of an Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award and drop dead of cancer!  Mr Gideon: AHHHH- your poor brother-less daughter!

As a P.S. to oceanic uprisings….spotted my disabled deer an hour ago. Well not 'my' but she has been around for 6 years or more- was told. Not sure when she took 'the hit'. Obviously her disability didn't detract from 'prodding her' year after....cause she had scurrying her a 2-maybe 3 month 'baby'. She was smart: she totally wasn't afraid of me when she sat in a dishevelled leafy woody garden just beyond in hunting season last year. All day long. Truly. SHE knew. Who knew? How did she know? Wish we could all ….a leaf out of her mouth to survive.
