HARRY

Can we be handsome without HAUTE COUTURE:) !

So here’s the strange segue to The Odyssey. Never mention movies unseen is the rule here. But here’s the thing. What matters in this world when eventually meeting its doom? Some will be breathing life into otherwise questionable environments outside Earth’s atmosphere. Some still will still be breathing questionable life. For the moment, what/who matters are the folks who facilitate/make the wheels of existence turn. Doctors, teachers, scientists, inventors, garbage collectors etc etc etc. What is always more vulnerably questionable is/are the role of artists. Clearly, many are wanting see this epic in IMAX The Odyssey. Others are content with their streaming platform options. Though maybe not if they witness this event. And director Christopher Nolan has helped invent a way to film intimate IMAX, a feat unheard of with such huge noisy cameras [hasn’t cinema been here before:) !] Who cares? Well, arguably, it is an essential part of being human. To create. To question. And when Nolan’s The Odyssey starts generating that much comment, those despairing souls breathe a sigh of relief that the message of quest not sedation pollinated!

A fascinating, scathing, illuminating review of Nolan’s The Odyssey from the epic’s first female translator Emily Wilson. Still, we all still wanna see the movie, and well, place ‘that book’ on our must read Winter list. Or rather, maybe just sn/cuddle up to our ‘furry friend’s’ audio book. There’s a reason it survived all these millennia without Machiavellian marketing. Unlike the Bible that always stayed true to its readers without…..! Mooo…

The Studio isn’t Altman’s The Player, nor ever was meant to be. Fun, jobs, much needed satire for an industry, understandably in tumultuous times, taking itself much too seriously. Christopher Nolan proves Hollywood is far from dead; serious ambition that may even prove organic amidst predators. Funny seeing one of those YouTube storage locker vids: some guy who clearly loved his Atari Jaguar from the 90’s. Soldered his own circuit boards. Clearly addicted to adult ‘genre’. Bet whoever wished he’d been born into our future realm! Many of us still remember sticking stamps on envelopes! ‘We coulda been a contender..’

KITTY’s forthcoming Ratzolli photos: STRANGE STINGS!

It’s silly season! Yet, just thought: what if you played the Les Mis song On My Own over that photo?! Was it what you thought or something completely other? Surely, that’s the power of photography, your own story always there beside you.

Here’s one for dear Anna Wintour. Glenn Dog Milk!

Soprano Renée Fleming and banjo player Béla Fleck

mille tendresse George will miss you Dot “He must have loved her so much.”

Arianna Grande would’ve been so great: Sunday in the Park with George. Awards even! Not for being famous, being great. Doing theater is tough, though. Tough. You can’t get drunk or smoke weed daily. Or really do nothing/anything prior curtain! Not even in the dressing room when you have a part near end. Some others ‘kicking back’:)!

Was rewarded for my ‘belief’ when none other than Steven Berkoff approached me at the opening night ‘after party’ with praise for that little role at the end of a Shakespeare everything. Not bragging, cause course who cares now:(( !! But little moments matter. Little moments breed belief. Slithers of hope, oft-times dark existence.

Feral CATS return!!

A little disappointing Larry! Couldn’t u have, like, a ‘chorus line’ of feral MPs, One Singular Sensation? [do I really have to mention: united we..!] Gyles Brandreth is rotting away without ‘tree’ friends! We of us once contemplated mortality upon Beachy Head. U know the Americans are so no different than 60s/70s. They’ll follow u everywhere. They’ve even invented rubber tyre surveillance. Hey, can’t infiltrate your ‘meow’. Not yet. Be strong, stay vigilant. Maybe a guest role in The Diplomat next season.

Does Larry have a m’yearn for travel? Walk with Tim opens your eyes to other worlds [only terrestrial at the ‘mo:)]. Why would his son Casper need a cat when he has Tim?:)) Funded all through YouTube monetarization. No ‘freebies’! Even if one can’t afford most, put your mind there. Change your life. Forever. The reality of others needn’t be yours. Your reality needn’t ever be again! Focus, dream, deliver. Not as expensive as it seems…seek and ye hall find.

Haven’t asked CatGBT if Coward’s Why Do the Wrong People Travel still holds water now…can’t imagine folk have learnt to swim that much even in a century…!

Sir Noel…

What’s happening to the ants Mommy..?

Oh well, we'll catch up some other time…

Meowing travel, agin: Gab Small maybe small but mighty in endeavors to re-discover upper NY state. Have you ever wondered where Thousand Island dressing began? She’s your x. A land forgotten. Except locals. Dinosaur trails, no. Alas. Not yet! Just, what do the simple folk do. Well: they live, try be happy, and VOTE. That’s what they do!

How to wind down our melancholic reverie? The Summer Knows, a song world worthy of Stephen Sondheim’s lyric “what’s hard is simple, what’s natural comes hard”. Makes sense at 5y or 105y. Lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman lived long and enough to teach many new kids [even older] on their ‘block’. The Way We Were DVD commentary has some great insights. With all the craziness in our world, the Bergman’s song such a pollinator. Laura Fygi deserves greater acclaim. And the orchestrations are very much at one with Legrand’s piano improv.

…. TOODLE-OO!….
