my Soundscape story: I hate zoos. Yet: I understand how many well meaning and intelligent folk try to make zoos function and be 'real'. Be CARING. Many are totally honest and well beyond the definition of 'caring'. I've experienced (and you should too to understand) the greatest most caring zoos of the world. Frankfurt/San Diego/Sydney/London. I remember the/an elephant in Copenhagen zoo. He had nowhere to roam. He exhibited classic 'confinement' symptoms. Up and down in his relatively tiny cell. It was one of saddest experiences.
