Terribly sad to see in my 'in-box' that a decision has just been made, the first time in 35years, to cancel this year's Powerhouse Theater Season at Vassar College due to Covid-19. This summer festival brought so much joy to so many, many people. It was where the Broadway hit Hamilton first saw the light of day. Broadway star Raúl Esparza was a brilliantly sardonic Galileo in a new 'rock' musical workshopped last year. It was also to be the first year for their new artistic director Chris Burney. Let's hope that everyone lives to fight another year.
Until this Friday (since 2 weeks), Amazon Prime are donating the $5 rental fee to Covid-19 charity, of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's original Royal National Theater production of Fleabag. Do yourself a favor and watch this wonderful, excruciatingly sad, funny, politically incorrect piece of theater that became the TV series. Did I leave out any creature superlatives? !
