Correct me please if there’s a German opera house refuting that! Always felt E.T.A. Hoffman has forever deserved better! Offenbach’s musical genius vs Meyerbeer bears itself. Needs director Richard Jones, Nigel Lowery or long shot Robert Wilson to truly bring this classic into present faith. Can’t imagine what Peter Sellars might see in this. You never know! Always need we food for thought. Hardly a stretch of the imagination from E.T.A. Hoffman to Black Mirror! Lebensansichten des Katers Murr.
Natürlich, we segue to The White Lotus [S3]. Well, did keep wandering back to HBO every week rather than waiting for the library DVD. So can’t be that bad!:) A slow burn that finally doesn’t exactly explode rather implode. Writer/director Mike White has created a ‘cash-cow’ streaming franchise. Genius. The SNL parody did all piece together. All it needed was a gay Thai security guard with hairdressing dreams bearing a clock-face tattoo [as did a real-life innocent Scotsman] that ICE deemed GANG MEMBER! Not White Potus family, though. Aimee Lou Wood, tough Mancunian yeah delicate flower beneath. Guess we share a more subtle British alternate SNL dental humor.
